Mahamevnawa Dhamma School UK is proudly the largest Dhamma school in the United Kingdom. The Dhamma school is collaboratively conducted by all the branches of the Mahamevnawa Meditation Centre UK. Teaching activities are delivered by Venerable monks and teachers, trained in Dhamma teaching, based on a well-structured curriculum suitable for children in both English and Sinhala media. එක්සත් රාජධානියේ මහමෙව්නාව අසපුව යටතේ ක්රියාත්මක වන සියලුම ශාඛා එකතුවී පවත්වනු ලබන මෙම දහම් පාසල එක්සත් රාජධානිය තුළ ක්රියාත්මක වන විශාලතම දහම් පාසලයි.
Supported by a large, dedicated panel of teachers and a well-structured syllabus, we provide an excellent learning environment. This is the perfect space for children worldwide to gather, build meaningful friendships with virtuous companions (Noble Friends), and practice the Dhamma together. ලොව පුරා විසිරී සිටින දරුවන්ට එකට එකතු වී, සත්පුරුෂ කල්යාණ මිතුරන් ආශ්රය කරමින් ධර්මයේ හැසිරීමට ඇති හොඳම තැන මෙයයි.
Our Global Student Community Includes: United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Sri Lanka, and Switzerland.
Online Classes (Zoom): Conducted on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays from 8:20 AM to 11:15 AM. Students are taught in levels based on their knowledge. (ඔබේ දරුවාගේ දැනුම මට්ටම අනුව Level 1 සිට Level 8 දක්වා කාණ්ඩ 8 කට වෙන්කොට ඉගැන්වීම සිදුවේ). The “Punchi Vedikawa” program runs from 11:25 AM to 12:00 PM, and the “Mapiya Senehasa” parent program is held from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
In-Person Sil Program: Held once a month where parents and children spend the day learning Dhamma and practicing meditation at designated branches.

• Buddhism in English & Sinhala (උතුම් දහම හෙළ බසින්): Pure Dhamma is taught systematically in both languages.
• Ape Kama & Hela Basa: Learning Buddhist heritage, duties, and the Sinhala language.
• Mapiya Senehasa: A special parent program guided by the Venerable Monks.
• Special Events: 5th Sundays of a month, Vesak, and Kathina months are dedicated to special meritorious deeds (Pinkam).

• Respectful Conduct: Students must be respectful and obedient to the Venerable Sangha and all teachers, using appropriate words like “Pinwath Swamin Wahansa” and “Awasarayi”.
• Attire & Punctuality: A clean white uniform is mandatory, girls must tie their hair neatly back, and students must log into Zoom by 8:20 AM. (Parents must inform beforehand if late).
• Online Etiquette: Zoom cameras must remain open unless there is a technical issue. Leaving without the teacher’s permission is prohibited, and chatting with friends in the Zoom chat is strictly forbidden.
• Responsibility & Dedication: Students are expected to learn the Dhamma with enthusiasm. Parents and students must complete and monitor all homework via Google Classroom.
• Wholesome Behavior: Students must speak truthfully and pleasantly, strive to live by the Five Precepts, and offer good companionship. Any form of physical or mental bullying is strictly forbidden.
• Attendance: Attendance at the monthly in-person children’s precept (Sil) program is mandatory for all students.
